This hillside home is situated on a pie-shaped lot in Honolulu. The single storey front façade conforms to the height restriction as three storeys of the back façade cascade down the hillside enjoying the sweeping ocean view from all floors. The panoramic view greets you at the entrance foyer where an elevator is available to access all floor levels.

The site’s steep incline provides the opportunity for three terracing levels to nestle into the hill.

A secondary outdoor dining and BBQ area is covered by a canopy at the end of the pool.

Large terraces overlooking the swimming pool and ocean are accessible from the main floor living areas and and the lower bedroom levels.

The kitchen, positioned at the front of the house, is elevated by two steps overlooking the dining room towards the ocean. The level change increases the height of the dining and living areas to 11 feet while conforming to the height restriction. The breakfast counter straddles both levels and serves as storage from the lower dining level.

A grand staircase with an ocean view cascades down from the main floor to Level -1. The master suite is located on Level-1. The two other bedrooms and the main laundry room on this level also enjoy ocean views.

Level -2 is at grade and has access to the swimming pool. A small kitchen/bar serves the recreation and pool area. Both guest rooms and the pool bathroom/laundry room have pool and ocean views. Frosted glass panels slide to conceal the gym when not in use. The theatre built into the hillside has a soaring two-storey ceiling.
